I think the best aspect of Ron and Hermione’s relationship is their fierce protection over one another. Somehow it has always been that way. Initially, it might not have been romance that drove their concern for each other forward, but a simple kind of friendship. Whenever something bad happened, he was always on her mind and she on his. Even in the darkest of days, Ron managed to make Hermione smile and she of course, let him…because underneath the passionate stealthy stares and the frequent embraces, Ron and Hermione are first and foremost the closest of friends. And that is what makes them my OTP.
